Gold ends lower, palladium leads metals sell-off      

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Gold futures ended lower on Wednesday and palladium led losses among a widespread commodities sell-off. Gold for June delivery declined $21.50, or 1.8%, to $1,193.10 an ounce on Comex. Palladium for June delivery lost $47.30, or 9.3%, to $459.70 an ounce as silver and platinum also suffered steep declines.
